I couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather for this shoot! Overcast skies, nice and cool. Not to mention the beautiful family I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing! More pictures of the little Miss Kiera and her beautiful family soon!

Alexia (Lexie for short) is my best friend, Melaina’s daughter. This girl is cute as a button, and the giggles that you can get out of this girl would make anyone laugh until their sides hurt! She turned one in August and we decided to take her newly walking legs out to Lake Katherine in Palos Heights to let her get some practice in. Lain got her all dolled up and let her sport a few different selections from the Stella & Dot girls collection. (Thank you Tammy!) She did so great, she was so curious about everything around her. Thanks Lain, for letting me get your baby girl in front of my lens!

I love this story! Seriously, these two should pitch their story to a screenwriter. They would have the makings for the next romantic comedy! I was lucky enough to be there when they first met. I was the photographer at Maureen & Dave Richards’ wedding back in September of 2007 and Kaytee & David were in the wedding party. As I remember it, Kaytee was not particularly fond of David. He was picking on her vegan diet. I believe, at our initial meeting, she said she thought he was immature and obnoxious. (I love that part.) So, after the wedding, Kaytee went back to New York and things went back to normal. Until the newlyweds decided to hire David to put in some flooring in their home. David said he’d do it, if they got him a date with “that cute blonde cousin” of Maureen’s. Maureen called Kaytee and told her she had sold her for flooring! Kaytee came in and stayed with them and she and David went on their date. The rest is history!

Jenni O’Connor from Lion’s Roar Media was my second shooter for this one. I’ve decided to put her on my permanent list of seconds! She’s amazing and I swear she’s in my head! If I see something across the room that I’m not going to be there in time to shoot, no worries. Jenni is already there getting the shot. Plus, she’s a fabulous friend, so that helps! She was such a trooper too, she was just getting off of a broken foot! Walking boot and all, she did a wonderful job! Thanks Jenni!

Kaytee & David’s wedding was absolutely fabulous. I felt like a kid in a candy store, like I was walking into a David Tutera creation. The color, the details, the flowers, the cake, the dress (Oh my, the Maggie Sottero dress!) and then to top it all off with a gorgeous couple. I couldn’t ask for a better wedding to photograph. Thank you both so much for allowing me to be a part of it all! I wish you both the best in your love & marriage! Oh, and if your story goes to the big screen, please remember to mention me! ;)

I first met Michael at his sister, Kathleen’s wedding. Here’s where it gets a little confusing. See if you can keep up. Michael is Kathleen’s brother. Kathleen is married to Brian. Brian is Kerri’s brother. Kerri is my husband’s cousin, Brad’s wife. Got it? I suppose it would be easier to say I was the photographer for Michael’s sister’s wedding back in May of 2007, but that wouldn’t be as much fun!

Michael and Melissa met on Match.com and they truly are the perfect match. Michael surprised her with a sweet proposal on a cruise and they set the date soon after. Their wedding was very beautiful. Simple, elegant and colorful. Melissa’s dress was gorgeous, and the flowers just made everything pop. And I love tea length dresses for bridesmaids! The food was delicious and the music was fabulous, the dance floor was packed the whole night! I have to say though, out of all the vendors (and they were all fabulous) the best was Marilyn Link, their wedding coordinator. Absolutely fabulous. At one point, Marilyn performed a last minute dress alteration so Melissa could walk in her dress without tripping!

Thank you so much to both of you, Melissa & Michael, for allowing me to be a part in your gorgeous day. I wish you both many years of happiness and love! Congratulations!

Sneak peeks are hard. And with a gorgeous couple like Danielle and Chris, it doesn’t get any easier. Seriously, I just closed my eyes and picked one. I can’t wait to post the rest!

I don’t think I could ever explain how much I love this girl. Too much prettiness in her beautiful pettiskirt from KoolKloz and gorgeous jewelry from Stella & Dot. Just some sneak peeks of her 5 year session. I cannot wait to post more of these!
